I stayed with Jim and Jill Sanderlin this week.. we had a lot of fun!:)
It made me miss Abby, Sam, and the kids being there!
They had pictures up of them all over..
these are the pictures of them that Jim left in my room for me:)
Jim & Jill have two adorable little boys, Ethan and Derek (pictured below).
Ethan and I hit it off right away.. A little while after getting to their house,
I was a little surprised to hear Ethan call me "mama"! Jill informed me,
though, that he calls every lady that he likes "mama" and she is mommy:)
Some pictures of the chapels at CBA...
The three team captains..
Joe (Marines), Carl (Army), and Marty (Navy)
Gotta love that "Splash Ball"!:)
Team competitions during the school day...
Team meetings...
I so enjoyed getting to know the people in the school and church..
I also had the opportunity to teach a children's meeting on Monday,
Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings while Dr. Jim did revival meetings
in the church.. it was a pretty busy week!:) This picture tells all.. ;)
And did I mention that I had mostly ALL boys?!;)
Pastor Anderson took the team out to eat at this place..
I don't think I have to say much.. the name says just about all!;)
The WAR night!!!
We had pretty good attendance..
about 75 to 80 both Thursday and Friday nights.
I was able to personally lead one girl to the Lord and
counsel another on assurance of salvation.
I'm thankful to the Lord that He still saves and works..
and even that He uses a weak, undeserving vessel!!!
The NAVY SEALS won the week!!!
(I think they'd looked pretty excited, too..
but I think they were in the midst of a cheer, so
that's probably why it doesn't really look like it;))
We had a good week and I got about an hour of sleep
before we left at about 1:15am for Louisville, Kentucky
to drop Joe and Dr. Jim off at the airport to fly on to
Milwaukee (Joe for the recording and Dr. Jim for
college responsibilities..), and then Marty, Carl, and I
drove on to Martinsville, Indiana to meet up with the Ingrams
and Tim & Courtney Swanson to conduct another
War of Special Forces!:)
