Happy New Year! Welcome 2012!

We celebrated the start of the new year at church!
We had Dr. Bob Shelton come and speak on Prophecy.
It was very good & very interesting!
We then had a fellowship following the evening service.
Pic above.. Suzy, John, and Anna, Peter's sister.
Sarah, Libby, and Anna, three of Peter's sisters, came
to surprise Tab and her family on Wednesday.
So, Tab got two surprises that night! :-)
Tab wanted to get a picture where her and Peter
first met years ago.  She wanted a picture with her Mom
as well since it was her who had introduced them :-)

I'm so glad that our families get along so well :-)
Definitely an answer to prayer!
Justice helped clean up by doing dishes..
it was too cute! :-)
Happy New Year! :-D
Looking forward to a wonderful year filled
with many special memories
and answers to prayers!

Congratulations, Tab & Pete! :-)

Tabitha, my cousin, met Peter Magnuson about three years ago
when he first came to our church.  Peter is from Minnesota,
where his dad is a pastor and lawyer, but he came to attend
the University of Michigan, training to be a lawyer.
It wasn't love at first sight... at least for Tab ;-)
But as her respect grew for this godly young man,
her love grew for him as well!
Peter approached my uncle to ask about his daughter
right before Peter graduated this past May.
This past Wednesday night, they celebrated their
eight month courtship anniversary...
And it was a celebration I don't think will ever be forgotten!
Congratulations, Tab & Pete!  So excited for you both!

Christmas Day!

I really enjoyed starting Christmas at church this year!
We started with Sunday School.  Our class was overflowing!
We even had to pull up another table!  It was a nice "problem" :-)
We enjoyed a time of challenge from God's Word,
opening gifts, and, of course, eating! :-)
We had several specials for this special Christmas service.
We started the special music by a mixed ensemble singing
"Angels from the Realms of Glory".  The choir then sang
"The Birthday of a King".  The children choir sang and
signed "Joy to the World".
The teen choir sang "Once in Royal David's City", too.
Tab, Mary Lynn, and I finished the special music by singing (again)
our trio of "He's Emmanuel". I guess people liked it! ;-)
And I enjoyed singing it again!
 Pics after church, of course!
The John Burtt Family
 The Lloyd Estep Family
 CJ and Sarah Elwood
 My Family :-)
 Adam & Katie

 The camera crew...
it was a pretty big ordeal, but what's new?! ;-)
 Mar & Me :-)
 Emily Burtt & Joanna Estep
Such a "Burtt girl" pose! ;-)
 Carter.. he's SO adorable! :-)
Nathan, Emily, Joanna, and Carter... second cousins :-)
 Nathan & "Aunt Anna"
Preacher & the John Van Gelderen Family
We enjoyed having John & Mary Lynn around
for most of the holidays!  We miss you!
After church, we went home for a breakfast lunch and to
open gifts.  Can you tell Emily's excited to open gifts?! ;-)

Emily helped me with David's gifts... :-)
Go Michigan!  We're converting her ;-)

Adam got a nice, big gift from Katie!
Emy loved her clothes from Uncle David :-)

Thanks for my gifts, Jack! :-)
 And then we did stockings!
We then went to Grandma's for dinner
and some more fellowship and gifts :-)
Pab with his ski mask from Uncle Ron & Aunt Diana :-)
Uncle Ron, Aunt Diana, Ryan, and Nick were there too!
I love watching Mom & Uncle Ron reminisce and talk :-)
Merry Christmas!
So thankful to have this day to celebrate
the birth of our Savior and remember the reason
He came to be born on earth.

Christmas Eve

Mary Lynn did a concert at our church
on Saturday evening, Christmas Eve.
It was beautiful! :-)
Tab & I also sang a trio with Mary Lynn.
It was so much fun to be involved and to sing together!
Then we went home and opened some gifts.

Katie & Mary made sugar cookies :-)
We had fun frosting the cookies ;-)

Merry Christmas!!!
