This past weekend a group from our church went to the
Creation Museum in Kentucky. It was so awesome!
If you haven't gone yet, I would definitely encourage it!
A big group of us rode down with Uncle John & Aunt Lynn.
We had a lot of fun driving together, staying overnight
in the Hyatt, and going to the museum. Memorable times! :-)
Thought you would like this frog especially, Dave! :-)
See any resemblances? ;-)
I thought this was very interesting - as was a lot in the museum!
It was especially nice to go through it with Preacher. I had a lot
of questions and enjoyed getting answers and learning new things!
Notice the frizzy hair... this was after the fall.
Make your own conclusions.
Lunch stop at Noah's Cafe.
Nothing like eating in the sunshine! :-)
Getting ready to watch "Men in White" - an interesting
and funny DVD about creation vs. evolution.
Crazy to think how dinosaurs like these used to roam around!
Caricatures - see the resemblance?! :-)
The gardens were very pretty & relaxing.
Loved the water especially!
These leaves were HUGE!
Lydia, Naomi, and Hannah
Aw so cute.. and getting so grown-up!
Rachel made it possible for her Sunday School class to go.
She's such a good Sunday School teacher! :-)
The John Burtt Family
(well... some of them... those that went at least)
The Maynard Family
Naomi & I got to ride a camel!
I can definitely say that this was a first!
Pretty cool - kind of like riding a horse?! :-)
The Onlookers...
Petting Zoo Fun!
I love horses but this is the first time I had ever
seen a Zorse - a horse and zebra mix!
Zonkey & Zorse
A beautiful end to a fun-filled day! :-)
Hello!! Can you see my comment now? hopefully this works.
ReplyDeleteWow I had never even heard of zorses! I think the church should get one for the Christ clinic next year, along with the cappuccino cart that brother John V.G. talks about!
Yuta
looks like you had fun!!!! Sad I missed it!!!
ReplyDelete-Audra!
Glad Y'all enjoyed the creation museum- my family and I went there about 3 years ago and saw "Men in White" too! Did y'all get sprayed with water when the Noah's ark part came?? When we went there though, they closed off the outside garden part- I feel gypped, I want my money back!!! LOL! Thanks for sharing the pics! ;D
ReplyDeleteGlad y'all enjoyed it!:) I went shortly after it opened a few years ago, and then I had a surprise opportunity to go with a group that my brother has been a part of back in August!:) I was asked two days before the trip to go as a trip leader for the girls so I got to go for free!:) We stayed at a place called "Potters Ranch" run by Christians where we stayed in tipi's.:) It was a ton of fun in spite of the fact that it poured all night and tipi's have holes in the top.:)
