Corydon, Iowa

My room this week was preeetty sweet! :-)
Our host family even had little welcome bags for us!
The Piercy Family - our host family for the week!
They were so welcoming and made us feel right at home!
They had two little dogs... Hershey...

...and Hawk! They made us feel right at home too! :-)
 Our schoolroom for the week...
Which was just the back of the auditorium :-)
They usually meet in a house for church, but this
week they rented out this community center to meet in.
 Visitors for lunch :-)
Another visitor!  This one wasn't quite as welcome, though!
There was a set of twins (Lacey and Nicole) that attended the
church, and Lacey also had these set of twins, Bryn and Emma!
We went to a farm house for lunch on Friday.

The boys enjoyed having Ariel read to them while
our host family was finishing lunch.
Dr. Jim enjoyed reading some too! :-)
 Quite the feast!
There was SO MUCH food!  And it was all SO good!
Can't forget dessert, of course! ;-)
 Excellent job, Deborah! :-)
I think it could win a prize!
The girls with Pastor Swanson's daughter, Lindsey.
They all seemed to have a great time together! :-)
Here's where they keep the pigs!
Oh, did I mention that this was a PIG FARM?! :-)

Seth had fun riding on Grandpa's shoulders :-)
Here they are!  Oh, and this is just one side of the
MASSIVE pig barn!  And I think they had two other
pig barns as well!  They have quite the operation going!
The girls bravely venture in... :-)
And, yep!  It did stink pretty bad!  I guess it wasn't
as bad as it can be at times, though!  Thankful for that! :-D

Aw... now this is more my style! ;-)

I did ride, too... Actually three different horses!
But since I didn't get any pics on the horses, I
figured I should get some by them at least! :-)

 And Ariel actually rode too!
Briefly, but she rode! :-)
A going away basket... the Piercy's are so thoughtful!
After our final meeting on Friday night,
we had an ice cream fellowship!
Paige brought quite a few of her friends this week!
One even got saved!  This is another friend that
came - Keandra Sinz.  Very nice to meet you, Keandra!
Ariel & me with our host family
Our team with Victory Baptist Church

I had to get a pic of the matching girls! :-)
Bryn & Emma even let Dr. Jim hold them for a pic!
Actually, Brynn let Dr. Jim hold her pretty much
all week long!  He loved that! :-)

Saturday morning we had to leave very early since
we had a long drive ahead of us.  Still, although it
was an early morning, Mrs. Piercy and Paige got up
early (like 5:30!) and made breakfast for us!
Once again, just shows how sweet & thoughtful they are!
Thank you for all you've done for us!  We really appreciate it!
Paige's excellent editing skills :-)
Thanks, Paige! :-)

  1. Hey I know Kandra Sinz!! Guess where they are from?? :) I didn't know they were out there but what a small world. Her mom grew up at Fairhaven and they left not long after we did. That's so cool. I had to say something!!
