Westgate Baptist Church in Tampa, FL

Poor Amanda & Marty.. they were so very sick this
weekend :(  They tried sleeping in the car on the way
but if you've traveled for any length of time then you
know how restful that that can be! ;)
Thankfully, they were able to rest a lot at the
beginning of the week..
Mrs. Van got right to work on trying to make
them all better.. here's her "concoction"! :)
 Drink up, Marty! ;)
It's not the best picture, but here's our dorm room for
the week.. it's very nice and spacious.. and all to ourselves! :)
Mini bag of popcorn.. I love it! ;)
 Exaggeration skit :)
My view out of the window by my bed.. :)
In the room where we schooled this week, which was
the nursery actually, there were all these balls!  Such
fun! :)  Annaleese wanted me to bury her.. :)
 GO GREEN!!!

Even Nicole got in to the hair spray paint! :)
The adults enjoyed watching too! :)
There was a teacher who worked in the school there
who had a convertible :)  We enjoyed a late night ride! :)
 Maddie & Nicole
Of course, what's a convertible ride without some ice cream?! :)
Amanda gets to hold a dog.. finally! :)
She's so missed her "Scout" back home!
There was a girl who came to the War
who brought this little puppy..
we all enjoyed him! :)

We celebrated Marty's 22nd birthday on Friday night..
although he really turns 22 the 1st of March! :)
Happy Birthday, Marty! :)
Marty & his cookies n' cream cake :) It was yummy! :)

This week the Lord did a special work in the majority of the
Christian school kids' hearts, I believe.. it seemed that there
was definitely a fighting until Friday morning when a majority
of the teens responded to the invitation.  We had a really special,
heart-felt prayer meeting!  Teen after teen cried out to the Lord,
and it was especially neat to see the Lord do a deep work in and
through a guy named Andrew Reyes.. better known as "Reyes" :)
When he prayed, I don't think many were left with a dry eye after
he was done.. it was a special time!  There were definitely some
girls who had stepped up to the leadership role since some of the
guys weren't, but then it was so neat to see Reyes take that role,
and even realize the deep need to be a godly leader there in the
school!  That night, he gave a powerful testimony!  He's definitely
had some major trials in his life - losing a brother, selling drugs,
arrested - but it was so neat as he was humble and honest how,
I believe the Lord used his testimony in the hearts of those listening..
and how He will continue to use it!

Lis, also named Elisabeth - with an "S", I must point out ;) - was a
special blessing and challenge to me as well!  She so sweetly dealt
with things as the Lord convicted her as the week went on..
it was a great blessing to see her sensitivity to the Lord and her
desire to be used of him.. she plans to be an elementary teacher
and a pastor's wife :)  Great ambitions, I thought! ;)

Also, another special blessing from this week was the salvation of Denise,
a new girl at the school.  It was so neat to see the Lord specifically answer
prayer where this was concerned!  In order to see the full story you can
visit Nicole's blog, nicole-drew.blogspot.com..

These are just a few of the many special blessings of the week..
praise the Lord for what He has done and I trust what He
will continue to do..
