Day in Disneyland

Headed to Disneyland EARLY in the
morning to be there before it opens...
Janna found a nice place to wait ;-)
We're in!!!
Crystal's just a popular lady, what can we say?! ;-)
About to head into our first ride.
Dr. Jim did a great job at figuring out the best
way to use our time wisely to be able to get in
all the rides and not have to wait in long lines.
I think the most we had to wait was 1/2 hr!

Gotta love our shades! ;-)

Even though it's early in the morning, we're all
excited for a great day, as you can see! :-)

Indiana Jones... the walk to get to the ride was so neat!

Splash Mountain
This is what we were going to come down... yikes!
Stephanie doesn't look too scared, tho! ;-)
Crystal's trying to be brave!
Neither of us wanted to get wet!

DJ got pretty soaked!
Here he is ringing his jacket out!

Thomas is such a kid at heart! :-)
He had a great time running from
place to place with Leesie!  He even
offered to carry her bag for her :-)

For you, Amanda :-)
I love the saying on this!  Reminds me of me ;-)
I loved all the cute little shops and sights!
Snow White's Castle
(From what I understand, Cinderella's castle
is in Disney World in Florida)

Dr. Jim wanted a picture by the critter sign :-)
Tigger kept messing up the girls hair
as they tried to get picture with him.
Finally, a picture! :-)

Of course, we had to go on the Winnie-the-Pooh
ride!  Tina, I know that you are jealous! ;-)
Mr. Disney man himself with Mickey Mouse :-)
Grandpa & Grandma Cross joined
us for most of the day as well!
One of the most annoy,... I mean, interesting rides! ;-)

I thought of you, Dad! :-)

A picture just for you, Nicole! :-)

It's incredible all that they had on that ride!
They went all out! :-)
"Farewell, Small World ride... we're gonna miss you!
Crystal will miss it especially! ;-p
Enjoying Cotton Candy while waiting in line
Grandpa Cross with his precious little girls :-)

Crystal takes what she does very seriously and
with a vengeance... don't wanna get in her way! ;-)
Mrs. Van & I sat together on this ride and talked
almost the whole time, so I think I only got 100 points! :-)

Soaring over California... this was really neat!
Basically a big screen in front of you and
they have footage of different California scences
and places as you "fly" through the air!
Waiting to get on the ride
Like Mother, like daughter :-)
Had to get a picture of us with our Mickey Mouse
shirts and this Mickey Mouse Ferris Wheel! :-)
I love what you can catch when taking random pics! ;-)
My personally favorite ride!
I think I went on it a total of four times! :-)
Ready to take off!
The girls didn't look quite too sure about this,
but don't worry!  They had a great time too
and went on it two other times after this!
Gotta love all these crazy lookin' shades! ;-)

Crystal wanted a pic with this little fella...
I think she loved him! ;-)
About to go on the Tower of Terror!
Can you tell we're scared?!
Here we are on the ride!
Basically you go up on an elevator and then
it opens up at the top so you can see the
park and then it drops you several times!
I thought it was pretty neat...
whereas DJ was terrified of it! ;-)
Not the place to be if you don't like heights!

It was beautiful as the sun was setting!
We went back on "California Screamin'" so I could
get a picture when we got to the top!  This is
right before we dropped :-)

Enjoyed dinner and some moments of rest
before continuing on for hours more! :-)

Can you see the resemblance?!
Scary, huh? ;-)

Can you tell what ride we're about to go on? ;-)
The Van Clan :-)
I had to get a picture of Roz just for you, Dave! ;-)
And, of course, pictures with the characters! ;-)

Can you tell Matt's trying to imitate? ;-)
The Night Lights... beautiful!
The whole group
The Van family, the five "other" team members,
Grandpa & Grandma Cross, and Uncle Jim
(Grandma Cross' brother)

Waiting in line for the World of Color fountain show
to start!  We decided just to sit and take a break :-)

It was beautiful & absolutely incredible what
they could do with water and some colors!
Unfortunately, my camera was dying by this
point, so I couldn't get many...

Like this for instance... incredible!
And back for some more "torture" again! :-)
Just about to get on the ride...
Do we look a bit dazed?  I mean, we'd only
been at the park about 16 hours by this time!
The same view from the top, but now
with the gorgeous night lights!  Awesome!

Finally, after midnight, we're headed back...

But not before stopping to get some ice cream! :-)
We had an absolutely amazing, fun-filled day!
And I was so glad that I was able to spend it
with Crystal, too!  She's a blast and a hoot! :-)
Don't know when or if I'll ever be back,
but it was definitely a fun place to visit! :-)

  1. I absolutely loved the California Adventure! You noticed they had smells right? When you fly over the pine trees it smells like pine? :) Then you almost get hit by the ball, ok its been awhile since I was there. I am so glad you had that opportunity. I would have to agree about Crystal, ask her about googly eyes sometime. :) Have fun!
